Sports at St James
Here at St James we provide a sporting provision to cater all abilities. We believe that it is an essential part of school life as sport enables pupils to develop their potential by setting themselves the highest standards whilst building on their determination and resilience through training and competition. We deliver a broad range of sport activities to cater for our pupil’s talents and interests whilst adding great enjoyment to their school life.
We compete in fixtures against local schools over the course of the year along with participating in the annual School Champs every March.
We encourage our pupils to train and compete outside of school in order to gain invaluable team and social experience. All sporting success is celebrated at St James with an awards evening to recognise excellence shown across the academic year; prizes and certificates are presented with County standard pupils receiving a Sports tie which they can proudly wear at School.
Any sporting success achieved within school or reported to us from outside of school is celebrated on our news page.
