Students and staff from St James School, part of the Ted Wragg Trust, have been celebrating exceptional GCSE results today (22nd Aug.)  

 

At St James, we are thrilled that we have improved our school’s outcomes with 70% of students achieving a grade 4+ in both English and maths and 54% 5+ with excellent results in many subject areas.  They joined students across the Trust celebrating a fantastic set of GCSE results.

 

At St James School we are a community with an ambitious curriculum, focused and thoughtful classrooms and great learning. We are an Ofsted 'Good' school with a thriving and diverse community and excellent educational outcomes. St James school motto is “work hard and be kind” and these behaviours lived day in, day out by their students and staff are exemplified in their GCSE results today. 

 

There was a brilliant set of results at St James:

 

• Edie achieved nine GCSEs at grade 9 - amongst the best individual student results the school has ever seen 

 

• Ella achieved an excellent set of results and has already started her apprenticeship in childcare and loves getting up and going into work every day

Our class of 2024 should be incredibly proud of the work they have put in and we look forward to celebrating their future successes as they remain part of our community as alumni students.”

Siobhan Meredith, Executive Director of Education at the Trust praised students for their

“ambition and resilience” and noted that “school teams will be working closely with all students in the coming days to ensure they are able to take the next step of their choice, continuing to give them all the support they can towards the next stage of their journey.”
