Year 9 have spent this term learning the fundamentals of computer programming. They have learnt about the programming constructs sequence and selection, data types, comparison operators, logic operators and some basic string manipulation. At the end of each set of skills they have sat a practical programming assessment and a knowledge-based quiz. An average score has been calculated from these four grades. * The average score accounts for any absences during this time. As the OCR in Computer Science does not have a practical programming element, these grades do not reflect what will come up in the final GCSE exam but will have lay the foundations to access their Component 2 paper. Due to this, predicted grades have been left out of this report and will be added to the next one once a written assessment has been completed.
